Martinique Flag Chain

$29.99
DESCRIPTION

These colors came into place in early 1665 during slave revolts led by Francis Fabulé, a “Nég’ Marron” who fought against French colonists within the Caribbean.
These colours would be taken up again in 1801 by Jean Kina, after a slave uprising in Carbet, and in 1870, at the height of the Great South Insurrection where the rebels used red, green and black scarves or bands as rallying signals.
